Welcome to the Lake Havasu City!
Life has been busy! We finished out our last week up in New Hampshire pretty strong. We enjoyed a short visit with Isaac's mom who rode back with us from Georgia. While she was visiting we went down to Brookline Mass and did a walking Underground Railroad tour. This worked out great because Eli is currently studying the Underground railroad and the Cicil War. But it was equally fun for us adults. We saw an actual Underground house and heard the amazing story of a fellow Georgian- Ellen Craft and her husband and how they were actually able to ride the train up to Brookline. Also the story of Henry "Box" Brown, the man who mailed himself free.

We said bye to Laloo and finished out our week with packing and Egg hunts. We went back to the church we had been visiting one last time and went and had chicken fingers one last time at the Puritan Backroom, and headed out on Monday.
Our trip took us down through Pennsylvania, through Tennessee, into New Mexico, and on into Arizona. We stopped in at a campground in Pennsylvania and the lady told us it was the oldest campground in America. She verified it by using the ol trusty reliable source, Google. She even had shirts made and was determined to make the whole campground Conservative. We wished her luck and said goodnight.
We stayed the next night in Gatlinburg. Pulled into a campsite at the same time a tornando watch or warning was hitting the area. The lady there said she owned 6 hotels so if it comes down to.it we will just pack up and go there. She'd let us know. We got to see our framily, Tiahara and family while there. They were there on spring break amd it was nice seeing those boys, Skye, and of course Tishara. We headed back for the night, tornando free and headed out the next morning. We stopped in Nashville for a few hours to catch up with Isaac's sister,Christie. It was so good to see her and her daughter. We haven't seen them since before Covid and just to sit and catch up was nice. We ended up at a small campground about an hour outside Nashville for the night.
The next night took us somewhere in Oklahoma I believe. It was an R.V.park outside the gas station there. The gas station was the equivalent to a LOVES. but it had it's own campsite. It was quiet and look Dunkin was right there for the a.m..
The next night landed us in Albuquerque, N.M.. The campsite was nice, but the wind was like being in a tornando or maybe like we were Dorothy trying to open the door right before the tornando appeared. It was horrible and all night the r.v. rocked and rocked. We were ready to leave the next day.
We made into Lake Havasu 8 p.m. mountain time and we are 3 hours behind our Eastern time friends, so long day. Finally got into our spot, decided we should probably feed them and found they have a Mexican restaurant open till 2 a.m. ummm yes. We went, ordered our food, brought it home amd all 3 boys were passed out. So.isaac and I sat and enjoyed our food in peace and just thinking about our crazy six day ride to get here.
The R.V. did well for the most part. We had a few hiccups, but nothing Isaac can't fix. Isaac did well reacclimanting himself to driving such a big rig across the states. It's been awhile since that was done. The rest of us were just along for the ride. Although at one point I was following him and then it dawned on me we don't have a ladder on the back of our r.v., so the r.v. I had been following for the past 20 min or so was not ours. Ha. At least ours wasn't to.far away, so catching up wasn't hard.
Since being here in Lake Havasu we have watched the Eclipse, walked to the London Bridge and saw the sunset, walked the 4 mile hike around the city, found the library, met some other homeschoolers, started a new job, and enjoyed swimming in the pool. We are excited to see what adventures that Lake Havasu City has to offer!
I'm nor sure why some of these uploaded sideways, but here are some life pics.
