Sometimes life Hamps in Limbo

Welp...Some blogs are great. Some tell all the fun stuff on the road. Sometimes life is in limbo and keeps ya guessing. Sometimes a blog helps get it all out.
We had a great January. For a last YeeHaw to the NorthEast and parents who who gave some birthday money to spend we headed to Canada. It was SNOW much fun. We went for a weekend up to Quebec City. A nurse friend recommended it to Isaac because of the Old European feel. You'll love the cobblestone streets. Well didn't see much of them under the mounds and mounds of snow but loved the buildings, ice sculptures, food, amd everything in between. We went Tobaggening on the oldest sled ride from 1884. We went snowshoing with mou tain goats and learned about one of the oldest cities in Canada. Ate some Moose stew and drank some Maple whiskey. We walked in active snow storm at -9° to explore the city and ate yumny Potaines and Crepes. It was a beautiful adventure.
Little Isaac had fun learning and skiing with one of the youth leaders at the church we had been attending. He has really taken to this couple and them with him. It's funny because the kid who didn't want to be here is now not wanting to leave.
My birthday was nice and quiet. It was meant to be spent traveling, but instead it was spent playing games, going to see a movie, and eating BBQ and chocolate cake. It was nice.
Fast forward to us leaving. It's the Friday before we have to be out and I'm packing and folding  laundry when Isaac calls from work and says his contract in Arizona has just been canceled due to a piece of paperwork they need. He is at work so he asks me to.figure it out. After a good solid WTF moment and praying and calling my parents I get on the phone and start calling people. Our landlady, who is amazing, says she can extend 3 weeks. The boss says he is on the way to county office to see what's going on but Isaac's current hospital will extend 4-8 weeks. He finds out the county office apparently had a mass exodus and are behind and his paperwork eta is now Feb 22nd.
He is hopeful the paperwork will be back by then and the hospital in AZ will place him once it is in and he can start March 5th.
Until then: we are in the house till the 19th and then finally getting back into the RV and we found a campground that can accommodate us for 2 weeks. It's unfortunately an hour drive for Isaac to and from work. He says he can manage that for 6 shifts. It saves us $500 doing it this way.
I love it here. However, I'm ready to go. I had made peace we were leaving and now I feel like I'm in a tailspin. I guess that's the lesson I'm going to have to learn is to go with the flow, be okay with unknown. Isaac seems to be not as anxious about it as me. The preacher at church gave a sermon about the woman who gave all she had, 2 cents. She trusted that all would be well. She didn't know how she would pay for things, or where she would be tomorrow, but she trusted. It keeps replaying in my head. So I'm trying.
The boys are getting bored because everything is packed and it's cold. The library is a good option for a day and sledding is fun when they can do that. So I've loosened up on electronic time for a bit.
We did have a field trip to a sugar shack to see how maple syrup was made. They arent in production, but he showed us around, how it is made and let us try some. We learned so much. A few exciting things we learned was that maple syrup tends to darken as the season goes on giving you different tasting syrup each time. The season usually starts late February. There are sugar maple and red maple. Wenall agreed we didnt care for the syrup from the red Maples.
Once the Rv it'll be chaos with all the unpacking but it will be nice to say we are in our home. This is where we are meant to be.

The people here have been so friendly. So helpful. So inviting. I'm just in my grumpy, anxious mom era I think. Until next time!
