we made it!

We made it! What was supposed to be.a short and sweet drive from NJ to Mass took a bit longer. We took a lovely tour of New Roc, NY due to being rerouted because of the RV. It almost felt like a National Lampoon moment. Ya know the one where they are on vacation to London and get stuck in the round-about. Chevy Chase's character, Clark Griswald just kept saying "Look kids there's Big Ben." 
Anyway,  Isaac finally figured it out and off we were. 
On the way into NJ we passed parts of D.C. and the kids loved seeing the little.bits we could from the highway. Emory kept asking if we could go to the Lincoln Memorial and see the Big Guy on the penny. And then something about carrot cake. 
On the way to Mass they loved seeing the NYC skyline. Little isaac rode with me and was all about taking pictures of the George Washington Bridge, the skyline, etc... 
We made it to our campground. All exhausted, including the dogs. Yesterday we unpacked for a minute, went and found dinner, came back and crashed.  Today, the boys and I found a cute breakfast spot while Sir Isaac did some work. We straightened our site a little more, did some grocery shopping, and hung out at the pool. This campground is also called a resort and it's massive. Kids everywhere, so.hopefully they find a friend. We met the guy 3 trailers down. He is here for the summer also, works at the camp part-time. The guy next door I met briefly as he was coming out of his trailer. He was in scrubs and I asked of he was a travel nurse and he said yes! He is at a different hospital than Sir Isaac but he said he'd come by and they could talk. So that's super cool. 
Sir Isaac has his first day doing hospital stuff tomorrow and it's supposed to rain most the day so the boys know that when that happens they get extended technology time. They are excited about that. I just keep thinking of what my sweet friend Chris said "imagine them this crazy just in a smaller space and it's raining" lol. She is the best. Guess we will find out tomorrow how great that is. 
Emotions are high. We are by golly gonna figure this out. I'm determined. I'll see which kid I can rope into blogging tomorrow.
Oh fun story: leaving NJ we saw 3 turkeys! We also passed a huge field of WHEAT. I said hey Isaac look at all that wheat. He said " I knew they were all smokers up here, that is so much weed!"🙄🤣🤪WHEAT ISAAC. WHEAT.    ohhhhh!

It's getting hot in here (Lake Havasu City)

It's been awhile. We made it to Lake Havasu City, Arizona back in April and here is mid July and we are moving on. It seemd like a short time here, but then again when you do a 6 month contract, 13 weeks does seem super short. Here are my thoughts on Lake Havasu City.  Lake Havasu City is interesting. A man built City and island to attract tourists. A bridge bought from England for the purpose of being rebuilt to attract tourist and it worked. It's the second highest ranked tourist attraction in the state of Arizona. Each brick was numbered and outlined and crated to be rebuilt exactly true to its original form. The picture below is the outline of all the numbered bricks. It's beautiful here. It has amazing sunrises and sunsets. It's the true definition of a painted desert. Let's take a road trip to Alaska....1 month this week!

Most people hope to be able to travel and see the world once they retire. If there is anything life has taught me is: mine as well do it now, for we are never promised tomorrow. And by doing it now, I get to have the adventures with my husband and boys by my side. On our time. I'm not having to wait till they are grown and settled in their own lives to make plans and hope everyone can make it. We are all here now. Has it been easy? Not always. Just like life in bricks, RV life has its challenges. Things need to be fixed. And unless we fix it ourselves, we have to move out of our home until it is fixed. We are navigating life in a 43 ft amount of space. Travel days are long and make me nervous and ready to be there already. But, we get to see the United States and all it has to offer. We also know we still have an amazing village of family and friends we can still rely on back home.  Back in Arizona the question or opportunity came up about doing a contract in Alaska. I've gone to A New school done fun stuff and made a bunch of new friends (Sanji, Killian, Honda, Inwell, Darrian, Yakou). We went to see to new captain America brave new world, we watched the super bowl and I won a bet so we got to go eat at olive garden we have had chrismas in alaska. I got funko pops (leanardo, chip and dale, Kingo, queen black panther, shangchis sister, chrismas mantis). Alaska is cool i really like it something cool is how pretty the mountains are. the wheather is snowy amd cold but not anymore. My school is named Muldoon. My teacher is Ms. Cole. I have a house. It's boring. The only thing not boring is video games. I got new shoes. The house has a table, carpet, and an upstairs. It has bunkbeds in one room, and a bathroom. It has a kitchen. It has a backyard.  My grandparents came to visit me. I did Thanksgiving and Christmas with them. Laloo came. Aunt Rachel came.  I feel fine about staying in Alaska. I hope my bed is upgraded.
