The Newtons New Adventures!
Here we are finishing day 2 of our 2 year adventure exploring the U.S.A. while Isaac takes nursing contracts. HOW IN THE WORLD DID THIS HAPPEN?!?
Short story: Isaac proposed the idea after spending last summer on contract in Virginia and the boys and I remained home. Life in the road is fun, but I miss my family. He was sold, me not so much. After a lot of prayer, talking to some trusty advisors it was okay! It's a now or never adventure.
6 months later and I'm laying in the RV in New Jersey for the night gearing up for the final 5 hour drive to our home for the next 3 months: Sturbridge, Massachusetts.
Feeling: All of them. Sad to leave my home base for the past 15 years, but knowing that as of now it will be where we plant roots again unless something magical happens on the road. Sad to leave family and friends, but like I told the boys we are in the age of technology: FaceTime and phones are the real deal. I've even got a virtual sushi date lined up already!
Anxious: Not knowing what's about to happen and how this is going to go. Anxious about the house situation. Hasn't sold yet. Yet always add Yet.
Excited: I get to travel! Travel with my family. Experience life with my boys. Do all the things!
My goal is to blog. Have them blog or write about they are experience. Writing 101. I'm not a great blogger. Not cause I don't like to, but because I forget. Consistency Alexis. Takes 2 weeks to build a habit Alexis.
Day 1,2,3 are what I've learned in the RV world are called Travel days. That's what we did. We left our home for the past 15 years to head to Raleigh,NC to see Isaac's younger sister and her family for the night. The boys love seeing thier cousins and we got to meet and snuggle the new baby. Then today we trucked on up to New Jersey fur the night. Tomorrow we land!
