Welcome to Page, Arizona

Today we headed from Mather Campground at the South Rim of the canyon to Page, Arizona. We will be here at Lake Powell for the next four nights.
Before heading out We had a yummy breakfast made by Margie and the boys finished their rocks and put them around the campground in various places.
Our kind camping neighbor came and helped us out with some things with the trailer, that apparently we weren't doing correctly or were just making harder than needed. It's amazing how God places people in your path.
Mather Campground was so nice. I was nervous being there without hookups and living out a cooler for days, but it worked. I loved seeing the Elk and the deer just pass right by you like no big deal. Even caught one sleeping.
The road to Page was desert 🏜. Guess that's why it's called Desert View. We stopped at a couple of the lookout points along the way. Each view more gorgous than the next. I try to take in each moment while also wrangling the 🐒🐒🐒, which really they should be 🌪🌪🌪(tornadoes), but coming into this trip as a making memories trip and not a vacation has really helped with my perspective. There is no peaceful relaxation, it is a lot of work. But we are doing it and we are all having these experiences together.  We told the boys to take it in, the next time they would be here would be without mommy and daddy.
Anyways, back to today's adventures. Driving through the Reservations was neat. All desert, again life spaced out. We stopped at an open air Native American trading post. The lady said she was up to having three boys come in and look around. Ha. So they did. Eli found an arrow head necklace he liked, Emory found a necklace he likes, and Isaac is still on the hunt for a pocket knife. Everything in there was made by the Navajo or Hopi tribes and it was all beautiful.
We made it into Page and to the Glen Canyon Dam and Lake Powell. Going over the bridge of the Glen Canyon Dam was neat. Lake Powell is at a historic low. It still has a pretty active marina happening around it. Tomorrow we are rafting or boating on it. That should be fun. The boys are looking forward to it.
I could do this view everyday.
Supper tonight was Jack In a box. Never eatin there before. People love this place, I don't see the big deal, but maybe I didn't have the right thing. 🤷‍♀️ Oh it's a full moon.
That always makes for fun times. Good night.
