Sir Isaac's Bog!

Amarillo by Morning... or at least by early evening. We have had a relatively quiet drive today from New Mexico into Texas. 
The boys were reasonably well-behaved and we only slightly felt like bad parents letting them watch several movies (back to back) while en route. The best of the bad parenting moments was while stuck in a bit of traffic. Alexis and I were sneaking cookies that we bought in Jacob's lake, AZ. The boys were fully invested in their movie so we thought it best not to distract them. We just quietly snickered to ourselves and made sure they couldn't see us chewing.
We were a few minutes behind getting on the road due to a must-finish chess match (and shooing off the weird shadow woman taking pictures of us.)

I really enjoyed getting to listen to all of the UGA game on the radio (we were able to find it on Sirius satellite radio) as I said it was the only thing I really wanted to do today. 

Alexis has once again has proven her undying love for me as she went out to get gas, eggs (for me to make breakfast.... as she knows I love doing that) and firewood (because making a fire is the only thing I wanted to do today). 
So, all-in-all this has been a nice day and I can't wait to pack all of this stuff up and do it again tomorrow (just a small bit of sarcasm and a large bit of truth). 

...and I didn't get a picture of it, but a guy camping close to us was trying to point out the tarantula he had just seen. A picture is definitely coming if I can capture it (after I calm Eli from the idea that we will not take it home as another pet.

It's getting hot in here (Lake Havasu City)

It's been awhile. We made it to Lake Havasu City, Arizona back in April and here is mid July and we are moving on. It seemd like a short time here, but then again when you do a 6 month contract, 13 weeks does seem super short. Here are my thoughts on Lake Havasu City.  Lake Havasu City is interesting. A man built City and island to attract tourists. A bridge bought from England for the purpose of being rebuilt to attract tourist and it worked. It's the second highest ranked tourist attraction in the state of Arizona. Each brick was numbered and outlined and crated to be rebuilt exactly true to its original form. The picture below is the outline of all the numbered bricks. It's beautiful here. It has amazing sunrises and sunsets. It's the true definition of a painted desert. Let's take a road trip to Alaska....1 month this week!

Most people hope to be able to travel and see the world once they retire. If there is anything life has taught me is: mine as well do it now, for we are never promised tomorrow. And by doing it now, I get to have the adventures with my husband and boys by my side. On our time. I'm not having to wait till they are grown and settled in their own lives to make plans and hope everyone can make it. We are all here now. Has it been easy? Not always. Just like life in bricks, RV life has its challenges. Things need to be fixed. And unless we fix it ourselves, we have to move out of our home until it is fixed. We are navigating life in a 43 ft amount of space. Travel days are long and make me nervous and ready to be there already. But, we get to see the United States and all it has to offer. Eli Blog- Maple Tree Farm

  Yesterday I went to the maple syrup farm. It had a sugar shack with  a  lot of maple syrup. And it had a lot snow on his farm. I learned how maple syrup was made. I learned all the types of maple syrup. And I learned the type of maple syrup depends on the season. I thought the maple syrup we tasted was pretty good I liked the fist one the most. The guys dogs was very nice and playful. I thought how he made the maple syrup was cool.
