Rainbow Bridge
Today was a get up at 4:30 a.m. day. Sooo early. We met the group at 6:15 to start today's adventure. We loaded up on a jet boat that was a double decker to head out to Rainbow Bridge.
We finished our trip at 1:00...long day!
The boat took us through the Colorado River Channel into Utah to where it would dock. Again the water levels are so low. You can see where the water line is on some of the pictures to where the lake was versus now. When we docked they said you use to could be able to see Rainbow Bridge from the dock, but because of the water levels you now have to walk. It's about 3 miles round trip. It was worth the walk.
The Rainbow Bridge is the only Natural.made Bridge and is a sacred monument to the Navajo. It was beautiful, especially how the sun hit it.
Once we finally made it back from today's adventures we decided to take the kayaks out so the boys could play around amd get them nice and tired.
Now it's on to laundry and supper. Hotdogs.
