Oklahoma is a loooonnnngggg state
Waking up on the Arkansas River was beautiful. I could definitely return for a longer period of time. We had very kind neighbors who helped get us parked last night. Isaac started talking to them, turns out they are newly retired. He was a big wig in a lumber company and decided to retire after the company told him he was the top lumber seller for the company, but needed to improve because he was 6 million short for 2020. I think I would've retired also.
Anyways, we woke up and Isaac cooked bacon and eggs and he and little Isaac plotted out our next route. It was gonna be a long day through Oklahoma.
The biggest excitement was seeing the windmills! The boys were fascinated by these giants. The boys were give and take this trip. A couple of grumpies who didn't sleep well, some snack monsters and movie potatoes and we made it.
We had planned for 8 hours, but knowing we would be arriving again after dark at the next stop, we decided to cut today short and then hit the road early today. We found a new RV Park called Wanderlust. It was a winner. Or as Emory says Winner winner Chicken Dinner. It was clean, had a little playground, and quiet.
Supper was chicken fajitas and campfire veggies. Hit the hay. Our goal time was 8:30.
We made our goal by 35 minutes! Know how? It started to rain...Who likes packing up in the rain?!?
Today we are trucking through the rest of Oklahoma, through Texas, and onto New Mexico.
Talk to ya tonight!
