Grand Canyon!!!!!!
We made it! We Mde it! We made it!
We woke up in Bluewater Lake Campground. No service and cold! Temps are definitely different here. Sir Isaac and I stayed up for a bit under the bright moon and managed to catch a shooting star. We went on a short walk this morning and saw a wild horse. Sir Isaac said it isn't wild, but there was only 1, not friendly, and no one had a horse trailer near. Therefor it was wild.
Rachel had made us a pan of yummy cinnamon buns, so we enjoyed that this morning, before heading out.
I have to be honest, New Mexico was not my favorite. The scenery was pretty, but the spacing between life would not be for me.
This trip was shorter, but seemed forever! We just let the boys watch movies. We were super excited to see the Arizona sign knowing it wouldn't be much further.
The big excitement today, besides the Canyon of course, was the milkshake machine. We haven't seen one of these in Georgia and the boys thought this was the coolest thing. You pick your shake, put it in the holder, hit the button and it blends. Three milkshakes it is.
On to the Canyon. We pulled in and were pretty amazed. Of course didn't get a picture of the sign I was so excited. I'll have to get it at some point, but did get some pictures of some elk walking by. One actually just walked by! Walked by our campsite!
Tomorrow we meet up with our group and do some hiking. That should be exciting. We get to figure out the shuttles.
Supper was a yummy pan of lasagna for Sir Isaac and me, made by mom. We paired with a salad. The boys had their favorite: butter noodles and s'mores.
